2007 Mayor’s Excellence Awards for Business & the Arts

First Calgary Savings was recognized with a Patrons Awards for Innovative Support recognizing our partnership with WordFest’s Book Rapport Programme. First Calgary Savings’ partnership with WordFest began in 2003 with the vision to promote the love of reading and improve student education. Today the Book Rapport Programme brings together dozens of artists and 6000 in interactive panels, discussions and poetry cabarets in a stimulating and exciting fashion.

2007 Imagine Canada Business & Community Partnership and Innovation Award

Only one of three Canadian companies to be honoured, First Calgary Savings and community partner, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary and Area, received an Imagine Canada Business and Community Partnership and Innovation Award on February 7, 2007 in Toronto, for the Between Generations program.
