The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years Audit experience in the oil and gas industry. A professional accounting designation is preferred but not necessary. Proficiency in Excel and word-processing applications is essential. Experience with E1 (formerly JDEdwards) is an asset. Effective interpersonal, communication and administrative skills combined with a strong work ethic are critical to success in the position. Occasional travel to field locations and work outside the Calgary office will be required.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Joint Venture Audit, the Joint Venture Auditor??s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
?Plan and perform audits or reviews related to : 1.external joint interests including those involving Revenue and Royalties, Operations, Capital Expenditures, Plant Production Allocation, Processing Fee Determination, and Payout 2.property acquisition 3.internal joint interests involving operated properties 4.contractors and vendors ?Compile audit queries and reports; ?Follow up on audit results including tracking audit adjustments on partners billings to ensure proper credits have been received; ?Liaise with other CNRL departments including Production and Operations Accounting regarding joint interest audit issues; and ?Set up audit files and other administrative duties.
