Business Overview
Near Fort McMurray in Northern Alberta, Suncor Energy Inc. Oilsands Operation recovers bitumen from oil sands and upgrades it to refinery-ready feedstock and diesel fuel.
Construction is underway for the next phase of oil sands growth, which is expected to deliver production capacity of 350,000 barrels per day in 2008, growing in stages to a goal of up to 550,000 barrels per day in 2010 to 2012 and growth is not expected to stop there. Position Outline:
Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance the Maintenance Clerk is responsible for routine administrative support work in collecting, preparing and maintaining records, files, reports and performance indicators. This includes opening/closing work orders and entering data into Suncor systems.
Key Accountabilities:
The Maintenance Clerk’s other responsibilities include:
- Calendar management and Coordination of various monthly, weekly, and ad hoc meetings
- Maintain follow-up files/logs to track upcoming deadlines, etc.
- Scheduling and tracking of stewardship and loss management activities
- Coordination of travel arrangements, administrative matters and departmental activities/events
- Record absence time and overtime in SAP timekeeping system
- Maintain office filling system(s)
Qualification Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
-High School Diploma
-Office Administration Diploma or equivalent
-Minimum 5 years prior administrative experience
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio
-Well-organized, with solid priority management skills
-Proactive and flexible self starter
