Scope
As one of the worldâs premier oil sands projects we are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant in Bitumen Production â Operations. This position offers the opportunity to join a mega project before start up. As a shareholder of the company, you will have the opportunity to directly impact your success and the success of this project. Reporting to the Bitumen Production- Operations Superintendent, the Administrative Assistant will play a key role by supporting the operations team during commissioning, start up and ongoing operations of plant facilities.
Key Areas of Contribution: ⢠Provide clerical support to the operations team & collaborate with the Administrative Assistants within Bitumen Production, and other departments. ⢠Maintain and organize calendars and schedules, organize tasks for the Operations Team.
Specific Accountabilities: ⢠Coordinate internal and external meetings; ⢠Generate and distribute agendas, meeting minutes and reports; ⢠Formatting and editing of documents, as required; ⢠Set-up and maintain files for the team; ⢠Create PowerPoint/Visio presentations; ⢠Maintain the logs of letters, transmittals and confidential information; ⢠Be a contact person for any administrative correspondence for the Operations Team; ⢠Coordination, collection & compiling of departmental data on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis for departmental and executive reports & briefings; ⢠Travel arrangements for the business unit as required. ⢠Support operations team in timekeeping, and vacation scheduling.
Qualifications
⢠Formal administrative training, ⢠5 years experience or more would be an asset, ⢠Industry experience in operations, maintenance, engineering, construction, heavy industry or large industrial plants will prove to be an advantage. ⢠Fort McMurray local candidates preferred. Personal Qualities

This position will be based on our Horizon Oil Sands site located approximately 70 km north of the city of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada.
