The Horizon Oil Sands Project requires several Warehouse Technicians / Tool Crib Attendants to join the Supply Management Team. As a world class oil sands project, the position will allow for development of those eager to pursue a career in materials or supply management. With a projected line inventory of 40,000 items totaling into millions of dollars. This position offers experience that will move your career forward.
Scope:
Reporting to the Warehouse Foreman, the Warehouse Technician contributes to the management of the resources and material across the site. As a member of a committed and enthusiastic team, the Warehouse Technician will ensure material and resources are received and safely accounted for by delivery or storage.
Key Areas of Contribution:
· Ensure accurate and effective management of all materials and resources received
· Actively participate in inventory management through counts and delivery of materials
Specific accountabilities for this position are as follows:
- Ship and receive materials
- Load and offload materials
- Efficiently bin materials
- Provide safe delivery as needed
- Maintain MSDS and MTR systems
- Perform periodic inventory counts
- Issue materials as required
- Safely operate various pieces of material handling equipment
- Utilize tool tracking and rental system
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years related experience in warehousing or inventory management; experience working in oil and gas, mining or forestry beneficial.
- QL designation or Warehouse certification is beneficial.
- Basic computer skills required; knowledge of JD Edwards software is an asset.
- WHIMIS and /or TDG training are helpful.

This position is based on our Horizon Site located 70km north of the town of Fort McMurray.
