Grande Cache Coal Corporation (GCCC) is a sustainable, long-term mining operation producing premium, low volatile, metallurgical coking coal for export to the world steel industry. Our mine site is 20 kilometres north of the Town of Grande Cache (www.grandecache.ca), a community of nearly 5000 located in the Rocky Mountain Foothills of west-central Alberta. Junior Buyer
Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you will assist with and develop skills in ordering of supplies and services thereby ensuring efficient and safe operation of the warehouse in accordance with policy and procedures relevant to both purchasing and warehousing. This position will be working an eight hour, five day week.
RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
• Upon the receipt of an authorized requisition, purchase parts, services and supplies in order to maintain stock levels in the inventoried parts and supplies warehouse.
• Work directly with Department Heads, analyze, develop and implement part and infrastructure needs for their areas in an efficient and effective manner.
• Acquire export/import documentation for materials leaving and entering the country for exchange, repair or replacement.
• Coordinate the on-going development of the computerized system for costing materials and supplies.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations within the warehouse and assist with the budget process as required.
• Maintain the data to support the listing of all inventory components.
You will require superior computer skills and should have an interest in working towards your PMAC membership.
