POSITION SUMMARY

Scope:


As one of the world??s premier oil sands projects, we are currently seeking a Horizon Technical Assistant to work in the Enterprise One ?? Information Management area of the Engineering Integration business unit. This position offers the opportunity to join a mega project before start up. As a shareholder of the company, you will have the opportunity to directly impact your success and the success of this project.


Reporting to the Manager - Development, the Horizon Technical Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to the Manager and his/her direct reports.


Key Areas of Contribution:


· Provide support to IT Procurement Lead in circulating Enterprise One (JDEdwards) requisitions or approvals and expedite where necessary. Enter purchase requisitions into Enterprise One and track progress;

· Track inventory and asset allocation between conventional and Horizon to ensure sufficient stock is on hand to satisfy near-term orders and ensure that IT inventory costs are appropriately allocated.

· Assist the Horizon Application Manager with administration of the IT PEP Integration team meetings including tracking future agenda items, scheduling meetings, preparing and distributing meeting materials, creating decision requests, and filing key documents.

· Perform budget reporting, data entry and analysis to ensure that IT costs are allocated appropriately, and detailed IT costs are reconciled against the corporate financial system.

· Provide administrative support to format & edit documents including status reports, standards, procedures and proposals;

· Prepare routine documentation and any other administrative/project correspondence as requested;

· Set up and maintain files and procedure documents. Ensure key documents are filed; and

· Assist other areas with excess workload as required.


Qualifications:


· Formal office administrative training is ideal

· 3 years experience in a project office environment, some of which relates to Information Systems or a suitable combination of education and experience in the Engineering Construction or Oil and Gas industries.

· Microsoft Office skills are essential including Micro Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.

· Proficiency in computer administration.

This position is located on our Horizon Site 70 km north of Fort McMurray.
