• Supporting safe, timely and cost effective field construction of all projects assigned in a manner which meets Suncor’s Environmental, Health, and Safety and security standards
• The achievement of construction schedule milestone dates
• The implementation of Supplier of Choice contracting strategy
• Regular “Lessons Learned” reporting
• The Construction Execution Plan, the Construction Organization Chart, the Staffing Plan, the Contracting Strategy, and the Project Quality Plan
• Developing construction schedule
• Delivering effective construction execution through to Turnover of Care, Custody and Control to Operations and Maintenance.Specific Accountabilities
• Labour Relations Plan including resource loaded schedules by craft and camp man-day forecasts
• Weekly and monthly Stewardship Reports including productivity reports
• Leading a team of approximately 1000 (employees and contractors) with a budget of $1 billion.CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONSEducation
• A related degree would be preferred, however other combinations of education and progressive work experience within industrial construction will be considered.Experience• A minimum of 10 years experience in heavy industrial construction
• A minimum of 5 years of senior-level project management/leadership experience• A proven track record of achieving results on time and within budget
• Oil and Gas industry experience would be a distinct benefit
• Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel required
• Experience with Primavera or SAP would be an asset.Personal Characteristics
