Development Services is a key Division within the City and its departments include: Electric Light and Power, Emergency Services, Engineering, Environmental Services, Inspections and Licensing, Land & Economic Development and Public Works.
Key responsibilities include:
· ensuring decentralized divisional accounting and financial management functions are compliant with Corporate standards for the City
· supporting Division Director and operating Managers appropriately in effecting their financial management responsibilities
· liaising with Financial Services
· supervising key divisional advanced accounting staff
Our ideal Candidate has:
- CGA, CMA, CA
- five years related accounting experience with complex financial applications in a computerized environment, and strong knowledge of GAAP
Preference will be given to those with experience in:
- internal or external audit
- supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment
- development and implementation of process changes
- financial and/or management reporting
- utility rate methodology
