The ideal candidate will have a post secondary education with a minimum of 3 years oil and gas experience. Exposure to royalties, land systems and production accounting are considered an asset. Strong analytical, account reconciliation and spreadsheet applications (Excel) skills are required. Other assets would be exposure to PRISM, QBLM, and EnterpriseOne (formerly JDEdwards) systems. Attention to detail, strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential for this position.
The Royalty Administration Accountant will share the responsibility of the monthly royalty payable account analysis/reconciliation and assist with the monthly royalty payment process. In addition the position would be responsible for yearly tax slip reconciliation and reporting which would include maintenance of the royalty owner SIN master list.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Royalty Administration, the responsibilities for the position will include, but are not limited to the following:
â¢Assist with monthly royalty payable account analysis; â¢Assist with processing/mail out of monthly cheques ; â¢Royalty payable account reconciliation; â¢Liaison between royalty owners, land and production accounting departments; â¢Issue monthly IOGC cheque; â¢Perform monthly non resident tax calculation and reconcile non resident tax account; â¢Reconcile and issue yearly tax slips for residents and non residents ; â¢Issue SIN request letters and maintain SIN spreadsheet (bi-annual); â¢Create monthly Encana TIK deductions invoice; and â¢Project work as required.
