POSITION SUMMARY
As the newest oil sands company in more than 25 years, Albian Sands is a young, dynamic and growing company. Albian has a wide range of project management, construction, operations and other professional positions available. Albian Sands is a part of the Athabasca Oil Sands Project (AOSP). The AOSP is a joint venture among Shell Canada Limited (60 %), Chevron Canada Limited (20%) and Marathon Oil Sands L.P (20%). The AOSP consists of the Muskeg River Mine north of Fort McMurray, the Scotford Upgrader near Edmonton and all supporting facilities such as pipelines and a cogeneration plant. As majority owner, Shell is the overall project administrator as well as operator of the Scotford Upgrader. Albian Sands Energy Inc., a company created by the joint venture, operates the Muskeg River Mine. As majority owner, Shell is responsible for the staffing and recruitment of Albian Sands. Albian Sands is currently seeking a Talent & Diversity Advisor
Responsibilities:

Develop strategies to other Diverse areas of the company that require attention ie: women in non-traditional roles; women in management; people with disabilities; cross cultural awareness for the global economy Support the diverse workforce through career and developmental paths that retain all for our future Competency profiles for Albian ie: People Management Assurance, GDS Technical Competency focal point Coordinating and facilitating the annual CEP process and competency reporting for Albian Sands. Sr Project and Analytical support to Learning and Development Work with Learning Manager in continuous roll-out of CEP process Work with OE/OD manager re vendor mgmt Mentoring and Coaching programs developed, implemented and rolled out Support for Leadership training develop, implement and roll out delivery Project leader of Albian Talent & Diversity Strategy with liaisons to Community Affairs and Talent and Development at Shell. Lead and manage People Survey and Actions as they relate to D&I Manage compliance with Regional Stakeholder commitments, and developing corporate employment plans for submission to RIWG and stakeholders. HR Policy & Communications Performance Management Individual Development Plans Discipline & documentation Respectful Workplace documentation and training People relevant sections of Code of Ethics Contractor Policy HR processes and SOX Delegation of HR Authorities Accountable for the D&I change process including the alignment with corporate/Shell policy and objectives, communication, awareness and training programs, measurement and accountability processes. Stay abreast of trends and developments externally and adapt D&I strategy and plans accordingly. Harmonize ASE D&I efforts with Shell practices


Requirements:

Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full time basis for anyone other than current employer. Bachelors Degree in Commerce or Business Administration preferred Formal training and education in areas of Human Resources, Learning or Diversity Seasoned knowledge of the business – including its key business requirements and challenges. Wide array of relational skills Professional knowledge in a wide range of functional HR areas. Examples Diversity & Inclusiveness; HR Policy, Learning & Development; OE/OD; and Change Management Held professional line and staff HR roles. Experience in working with clients on Diversity and Inclusiveness projects or initiatives. Excellent computer skills (e.g. MS Office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Displays excellent personal effectiveness demonstates courage to stand up for the right outcome Values and understands the need for strong team working Abilty to present a fact based, analytical solution excellent influencing skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization An understanding of diversity and the importance of a diverse workforce Ability to take initiative, self-starter Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
