Albian Sands is a part of the Athabasca Oil Sands Project (AOSP). The AOSP is a joint venture among Shell Canada Limited (60 %), Chevron Canada Limited (20%) and Marathon Oil Sands L.P (20%). The AOSP consists of the Muskeg River Mine north of Fort McMurray, the Scotford Upgrader near Edmonton and all supporting facilities such as pipelines and a cogeneration plant. As majority owner, Shell is the overall project administrator as well as operator of the Scotford Upgrader. Albian Sands Energy Inc., a company created by the joint venture, operates the Muskeg River Mine. As majority owner, Shell is responsible for the staffing and recruitment of Albian Sands. Responsibilities:
This position is a developmental position that will provide Learning rep support under the mentorship of the Learning Coordinator. This role is responsible for the day to day management of the Learning Centre, coordination of internal training provided to Albian team members including financial management and analysis accountabilities of both team and program budgets; month end process. This role is also responsible for program stats, financials, Learning and Development of Leadership development candidates and management reporting. This position requires a high level of accuracy with attention to detail. Works around a heavy workload and meeting tight deadlines. To support the Manager of L&D with effective execution of Orientation training. To coordinate and/or deliver applicable Human Resource Training programs to the organization. To book training facilities for training sessions and support equipment, food, etc. as required and ensure appropriate charge backs are in place. Provide the organization with a fit-for-purpose training matrix and programs to develop key competencies from a People Management Assurance perspective. Program coordination and logistics related to the delivery of sessions including frequency, scheduling of external venues, facilitators, Senior Management guest speakers, communications, calendar and financial analysis. Includes Leadership/Personal Effectiveness/Safety/Technical/Computer Develop and coordinate data warehouse reporting including quarterly program stats, financials, ops updates, management and ad hoc requests. Coordinate orientation presentation sessions with all new hires and senior management and managing the content. Support the Organization through coordinating 7-12 “Leaders Lunch n Learn” sessions. Manage the Learning and Development Information on the Intranet Home Page. Building positive and constructive relationships with others in both face-to-face situations and while working virtually Prioritizing workload around tight deadlines Identifying learning concerns and referring team member to the appropriate resource Be able to work in a team environment and take initiative
Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full time basis for anyone other than current employer. HR Management Certificate/HR Diploma preferred Minimum 3 years in related field Previous experience with Microsoft Office Excel and Word Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills Excellent Coordination and Priority setting skills Ability to engage with all levels of organization including Senior Management level Excellent written and verbal communication skills, displays professionalism, strong customer service skills, proficient organization skills with a high level of accuracy. Experienced in dealing with diverse groups of employees and supervisors Strong Facilitation skills. Ability to work unsupervised and effectively works well in a Team environment Prioritizing workload around tight deadlines Coordinate advertising of course offerings through global email through Oil Sands Work within a team environment and be flexible Be able to run reports from several databases Reporting statistical information
