POSITION SUMMARY
As the newest oil sands company in more than 25 years, Albian Sands is a young, dynamic and growing company. Albian has a wide range of project management, construction, operations and other professional positions available. Albian Sands is a part of the Athabasca Oil Sands Project (AOSP). The AOSP is a joint venture among Shell Canada Limited (60 %), Chevron Canada Limited (20%) and Marathon Oil Sands L.P (20%). The AOSP consists of the Muskeg River Mine north of Fort McMurray, the Scotford Upgrader near Edmonton and all supporting facilities such as pipelines and a cogeneration plant. As majority owner, Shell is the overall project administrator as well as operator of the Scotford Upgrader. Albian Sands Energy Inc., a company created by the joint venture, operates the Muskeg River Mine. As majority owner, Shell is responsible for the staffing and recruitment of Albian Sands. Albian Sands is currently seeking a Human Resources Representative for our Jackpine Expansion
Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for supporting the HR Advisor for JPM as well as coordinating HR activities for this client area Works with Advisor & Leaders on forecasting workforce needs Responsible for monthly Attrition/Retention/Diversity reporting to HR Manager and Shell focal point Assists with reviewing and updating work practices as required Focal in the communication of compensation changes, results pay and pay practices Conducts exit interviews and provides feedback for retention purposes Shell People Survey for area (coordinating completion, analyzing results and providing insights into results) Focal in the communication of compensation changes, results pay and pay practices Manages progression requests for operators/maintainers Manages the Housing Assistance Program Building positive and constructive relationships with others in both face-to-face situations and while working virtually Prioritizing workload around tight deadlines Identifying team member concerns and referring them to the appropriate resource Be able to work in a team environment and take initiative


Requirements:

Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full time basis for anyone other than current employer. HR Management Certificate/HR Diploma preferred Minimum 3 years in related field Previous experience with Microsoft Office Excel and Word Experience in JDE would be an asset Acvanced MS Office skills and experience (Excel and Word are mandatory) Prioritizing workload around tight deadlines Coordinate posting changes in JDE with payroll Work within a team environment and be flexible Be able to run reports from several databases Reporting statistical information
