Publicist, EA SPORTS
EA SPORTS public relations team seeks Publicist to be a part of an energetic Public Relations team and manage all phases of product and brand public relations for a group of EA SPORTS products, events and other initiatives.
Candidate must have the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, creative environment at the largest interactive development studio in the world - home to best-selling videogames such as NHL, NBA LIVE and FIFA Soccer. This team player and strong communicator will work directly with internal partners worldwide (public relations, marketing and production teams) and external media in North America. You will create and execute strategic PR plans for products within the EA SPORTS brand - recently ranked the 5th most valuable sports brand in the world by Forbes Magazine.
- Minimum or 2-3 years of solid PR experience. Need an entrepreneurial upstart for exposure to worldwide organization.
- Help PR Manager develop and manage all strategies and phases of product publicity.
- Be a strong and valued individual contributor as well as an important and integral part of the PR team.
- Develop and maintain an extensive network of North American media contacts in both trade and mainstream.
- Develop relationships and work closely with franchise production and marketing teams to gain a complete knowledge of products and its features, solidify PR strategy, hone product messaging, obtain assets, and mine for additional relevant product related information that help with the PR efforts.
- Act as the global lead for all PR campaigns, and work closely with International PR leads.
- Serve as product spokesperson, assisting all media inquiries.
- Research, write, and edit press release, media alerts, fact sheets, video packages and speaking points.
- Ability to pitch broadcast stories, familiarity with obtaining satellite feeds and creating b-roll press kits.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills and has the ability to develop strong internal and external relationships through constant interaction and follow-up.
- Have knowledge and understanding of communications tools such as monitoring services, media directories, newswires, databases and PR techniques.
- Develop and pitch unique stories on video game features and trends, or lifestyle elements of products.
- Plan, coordinate and execute press tours both in-studio and on location.
- Obtain and disseminate written product feedback to both studio and marketing.
- Ability to manage, prioritize and execute multiple projects at one given time.

- Gaming and/or sports experience strongly valued.
- Computer proficiency ? experience with Microsoft Outlook, Powerpoint, Microsoft Word, Excel.
