POSITION SUMMARY
Associate Producer

Electronic Arts Black Box captures the top four floors of a high-rise on Vancouver's downtown waterfront. EAX is 70,000 square feet of panoramic views of the city, harbour, and mountains! Piercing through the centre of the building is a 35 foot bamboo tree enclosed in glass by a stair case that connects all four floors, adding a touch of serenity to work. The studio is well equipped with multiple sound studios, game trial theaters, disco lounge, cafeteria, arcade, DJ booth, gym, company store and outdoor balcony complete with fireplace and barbeque. Enjoy all that the downtown core has to offer all the while working on one of EA's exciting unannounced game titles.

As Associate Producer you will be responsible for the production of a Next Gen Console action adventure game title. Working with producers and product managers in all aspects of the production, emphasizing on both PC and console platforms. Associate Producers are actively involved in the development process and are required to deliver products ensuring both title quality and timely delivery. Associate Producers work closely with Game Designers to maintain and enhance creative relationships with inside and outside developers while coordinate with Marketing and QA to support the documentation and testing processes.

Other responsibilities include:

Direct development to maintain state of the art gameplay in current and future interactive experience design and development.

Coordinate the activities of other product elements, such as Marketing, Public Relations and Operations activities, with the software and its development to ensure consistency, quality and timely implementation.

Remain aware of current market trends for the genres within the systems for which you produce product, including patterns and customer requirements, both in North America and markets abroad. Be able to use this knowledge to work on new and innovative products for the videogame and personal computer mediums.

Initiate, foster and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external organizations critical to both current and future development process.

Education:
- University or College degree preferred a technical, fine arts (film) or business discipline strongly preferred.
- Advanced degree or studies a bonus.

Experience:
- 2-5 years of game production experience on at least 2 full cycle titles on AAA title (concept to ship).
- Additional experience directly in game development (programming, art, design) is a bonus.

Other:
- Must have a solid understanding of modern product management techniques and practices.
- Must have a working knowledge of console product submission and general QA/testing procedures.
- Must be able to creatively solve problems and make tough decisions
- Must have a solid understanding of game design from high level to systems, mechanics and level design.
- Must be willing to actively take responsibility for assigned projects with and without direct supervision.
- Must be organized and self-starting, willing to aggressively move on initiatives.
- Must have good communication skills to work closely with both internal and external teams as well as diverse functions within the company.
- Must maintain an awareness of current trends and consumer expectations, specifically regarding computer and all console-based platforms.
- Must be both exceptionally passionate about game development and an avid game player ? including adventure and action genres.
