Construction Coordinator E/I: PSA (Professional Service Agreement) - ContractWorking under the direction of the Site Manager, East Tank Farm, Voyageur Project participate in the overall planning and execution of the construction management of Voyageur Project to ensure consistent application of the Major Projects standards and procedures.• Provide input into all stages of a project form conceptual engineering final design by attending all constructability reviews and EDS Hazops for projects as assigned, and by reviewing all detailed plans with a view to sequencing of the work properly, resource loading, etc.
• Review all bid packages for constructability prior to bids being sent out, also attend all bid review and evaluation meetings and conduct any site tours required in conjunction with the bid process. Provide advice on the selection of contractor for project.
• Ensure safe, timely and cost effective field construction of all projects assigned in a manner which meets Suncor’s health, safety and environmental standards through the administration of fixed price contracts or “in House” contractors.
• Ensure all construction conforms to the approved Construction Work Package plans and specifications and that all work is conducted in accordance with permit procedure requirements.
• Ensure that all cost collection requirements are met for all field work such as time sheets, purchase orders, service agreements, etc. Administrate all project change notices in a timely manner by coordinating the satisfactory resolution of any design or construction deficiencies as identified from time to time during the construction and commissioning phase of projects assigned.Exercises independent judgement consistent with corporate and business unit goals. Influences the thinking of others and provides broad guidance with respect to others decisions.Exercises mature business judgement, originality and ingenuity in devising practical, economical solutions.

Must be able to adapt leading edge technologies and tools which have a high potential in improving the construction work processesThe candidate must have exceptional people skills and superior communication skills. Must be willing to take a project assignment in the future.

Current knowledge of Construction Industry Best PracticesExperience:
Civil/ Mechanical/Electrical Engineer/Engineering Technologist/Technician or Journeyman Trade Certification
- A minimum of 5 years experience coordinating the field construction of projects in the oil and gas industry and/or 5 years working in an EPCM environment
- Field engineering experience will be considered an asset- Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skillsWorking Conditions:
The project located 1/2 hour north of Ft. McMurray. The normal shift for CM staff is 10 days/four days off – 10 hours per day.
