POSITION SUMMARY

The Analysis Administrator will manage the gas and hydrocarbon liquid analysis data used by Canadian Natural for production accounting purposes. Reporting to the Supervisor, PA Resource Team, the specific responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

•Receive and validate new gas and hydrocarbon liquid analyses to ensure sample data is representative for the stream and meets Canadian Natural corporate standards;
•Facilitate the expansion of automatic data uploads from Maxxam and other vendors to PRISM;
•Respond to internal and 3rd party requests for analysis data;
•Ensure that up-to-date Canadian Natural analysis data is available to internal and external customers;
•Participate in sample scheduling to ensure sample frequency is appropriate for the stream;
•Ensure that minimum regulatory and contractual requirements are met;
•Identify opportunities for reduced sampling of low-risk streams;
•Identify where more frequent samples for high-risk streams are warranted;
•Provide training on analysis data and its uses to Canadian Natural staff when required; and
•Proactively assess the accuracy and completeness of Canadian Natural analysis data to ensure appropriate analysis data is being used and perform cleanup where required.

The successful candidate will have 5 to 7 years progressive experience in Property (production/revenue) Accounting. Experience in gas and hydrocarbon liquid sampling, field operations, plant allocations, and/or knowledge of compositional aspects of various oil and gas fields in Western Canada would be an asset. This position also requires strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Interpersonal communication and organizational skills within a team environment will increase effectiveness. The ability to multi-task and prioritize is crucial to success in the position.
