Reporting to the Mine Operations Superintendent, you will be responsible for:Producing lesson plans and administering lessons on specific pieces of mine equipment as well as tracking and reporting results;Completing safety hazard assessments;Follow up and communication of safety issues with site foremen;Planning with maintenance and operations for the coordination of training programs;Delivering mine site orientation;Coordinating with outside agencies for training programs.To qualify you must have:Good communication, interpersonal and teaching skills;Flexibility and able to multi-task;Familiarity with open pit mine operations and equipment;Excellent computer skills for developing presentations / Microsoft suite of programs;Equipment operating experience is an asset. Familiarity with working components is ideal.This position will work a 5 x 2 or 4 x 3 day shift.
