Description of of MEM.Specific job duties include:Ensure that a disciplined approach to safety is present in the shift maintenance group.
Ensure the administration of the Collective Agreement and personnel policies, occurs in a fair and consistent manner.
Hold monthly shift safety meetings with applicable employees as per procedure/agenda with review and follow up on items raised to ensure remedial action is taken.
Adhere to all permit and lockout procedures.
Effectively investigate all incidents of bodily injury and property damage, and follow up to prevent re-occurrence of same, produce top quality incident reports in a timely manner. Identify and report hazards and potential hazards, and discuss same with shift members.
Maintain housekeeping standards by performing spot checks on jobs, vehicles and areas daily.
Ensure maintenance programs and systems are followed and receive feedback to sustain equipment availabilities that allow maximum effeciencies and long term availability and productivity.
On a daily basis set work expectations and work performance levels with employees with timely and meaningful feedback.
Provide leadership in the development and implementation of Suncor’s Loss Management Program by executing personal job responsibilities in accordance with area specific standards and activity calendars.
Ensure that we conduct our business in an ethical and professional manner with compliance to all relevant government legislation.In the event of an emergency, ensure that the responsible Area Maintenance Manager is contacted.
All work activity that is performed on shift will be recorded into the Shift Log and distributed at the end of the shift as prescribed by procedure.
Perform the functions within the SAP computerized maintenance system to correctly document, approve, and assign the work that is performed on shift.Perform Program Maintenance work that is assigned by Planning and Scheduling to be performed on shift.Education and Experience RequirementsThe ideal candidate would have previous Maintenance supervisory experience.Applicants must have a high school diploma and Journeyman certification in one of the Maintenance Trades, or an Engineering degree.A good working knowledge of computers and the ability to work with computerized maintenance management systems is a requirement. Preference will be given to those applicants with proven experience on PLC/DCS systems as well as experience with Variable Frequency Drives.Strong interpersonal, communication, administrative and leadership skills are required.Heavy Equipment Technicians with a minimum of 5 years experience with Shovels is an assetMillwrights with a minimum of 5 years experience with shovels is an asset
