Data Centre Systems Analyst, Calgary, AB
Graham Group Ltd., one of western Canada’s leading construction companies and “50 Best Managed Companies” is looking for an experienced Data Centre Systems Analyst in our southeast Calgary (Douglasdale) head office.
Reporting to the Data Centre Team Lead, the Data Centre Systems Analyst will be responsible for;
Planning, coordinating and implementing new (or improved) IT infrastructure services and solutions. This would entail consulting with all IS teams and internal clients to determine business and technology requirements. Working closely with System Administrators in order to improve operational efficiencies as well as designing and proposing solutions, implementing or overseeing service transition while continuously improving processes, policies, workflows and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in the successful operation of all Infrastructure Services
System Administrator training and advanced support
Evaluating, designing, installing, maintaining, upgrading, testing, documenting and training for software, hardware and networking components of the Infrastructure services
Technical research, development and troubleshooting
Systems documentation creation and management, following established standards
Identification of operational inefficiencies and proposal of solutions
Identification of business inefficiencies and proposals of solutions
Development and maintenance of Infrastructure Services policies and processes
Infrastructure Services and customer focused project work
Some on call and after hours work responsibilities
Limited travel
Required:
7 + Years Experience in an Enterprise environment (100+ Servers across multiple sites)
Exceptional technical skills, including, but not limited to
WINTEL enterprise systems (Including but not limited to AD, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL, TS, Clusters)
Cisco / Nortel / Enterasys systems
WAN and LAN systems
NAS and SAN systems
Virtualization technologies
IP Telephony
WIFI
Excellent requirements gathering and analysis skills
Excellent communication, prioritization and time management skills
Excellent system documentation skills, including, but not limited to, processes, policies, workflows, and technical specifications
Nice to have:
College Diploma or University Degree related to Information Technology
Microsoft / Cisco / DELL / ITIL Certificates
