Expansion and opportunity are words you hear often at Suncor.Our growth = significant career opportunity for youPosition Outline:Reporting to the Manager, Reliability Engineering, the Lead Reliability Specialist will responsible for the development of reliability improvement initiatives for mining assets such as Shovels, Haul trucks, and Auxiliary Equipment (dozers, graders, backhoes).Key Accountabilities:The Lead Reliability Specialist’s responsibilities include:- Leading and developing a team specific to an asset such as Trucks to identify and resolve reliability and maintenance issuesthrough coaching, performance management, and stewardship of results
- Monitoring performance trends, identify anomalies, and recommend improvements
- Developing maintenance and reliability strategies and programs for mobile equipment fleets including preventative maintenance procedures, spare parts requirements, and inspection needs
- Identifying and implement predictive technologies to improve reliability predictions
- Developing projects (capital/operating) to address reliability improvement plans including equipment replacement/ major rebuild justifications
- Managing programs to ensure compliance to regulations related to mobile equipment and associated facilities including inspections, testing, repair of lifting devices
- Developing expertise in reliability engineering techniques (Reliability Centred Maintenance,Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and apply as appropriate
- Participating in Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis and incident investigation teamsQualification Requirements:The successful candidate will have:
- Engineering degree with 10years experience preferably in a mine maintenance organization
- Ability and experience in leading, mentoring , and developing team members
- Strong focus on safety, integrity and reliability- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and decision making skills- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP)Working Conditions:Achieving world-class safety excellence is key to Suncor’s goal of becoming a sustainable energy company. - This position is based at our Main Plant located 24km north of Fort McMurray.
