Description of AccountabilityReporting to the site wide QA/QC Manager, this position will be resonsible to:
- Develop, maintain and sustain quality program standards and procedures for site wide application.- Audit system compliance in the business unit’s quality assurance systems.- Train QA Managers regarding system rehabilitation and continuous improvement initiatives.- Revise and/or create quality systems standards and procedures.- Audit RBI implementation strategies and output and provide systemic awareness of RBI evergreen maintain and sustain through effective auditing and reporting to senior management.- Auditing internal and external partners quality systems and compliance including Supply Chain Management, Growth Integration GIT, Major Projects Groups, Transalta, and FT services.
- Develop systemic liaison through the development and implementation of administrative processes between these groups and Suncor Quality Assurance / Reliability Engineering.Experience and Educational RequirementsCandidates should a minimum of 15 years experience in the petrochemical industry or similar manufacturing industry (pulp and paper, steel, etc) where one has acquired knowledge of the problems and situations typical of a regulated industry and pressure equipment specifically. The main experience should be focused on auditing using ISO processes, TQM audits and technical /systemic audits.
Experience in pressure equipment repair, alteration, construction, in-service inspection or mechanical / industrial engineering in a petroleum refinery would be an asset. Knowledge of NDE application in industry as well experience in developing inspection.
Addition skills required are:
- Technical code strength with ASME codes and related standards including API and ASTM.
- Quality auditing skills and awareness of quality management systems such as ISO ,TQM and ABSA AB512.- Regulatory awareness of the safety codes act and related regulations within refinery and mining environments.- Supervisory or management experience training/guiding technologists, quality managers or engineering levels to function within a technically complex environment.- Excellent organizational and communicational skills. Excellent technical writing capability.
