Scope: - Taking on a key contributor role during the development and implementation of various integrity programs, our highly respected Asset Integrity Engineer will stand out as an integral part of the reliability team.
Key Areas of Contribution: - Achieving plant reliability targets and identifying reliability improvements to increase production and availability; - Work to optimize shutdowns â an effective Asset Integrity Program is required to extend turnaround intervals beyond the minimum regulatory requirements; and - Assist in the development of an ABSA (Alberta Boiler Safety Association) approved Risk Based Inspection (RBI) program.
Specific Accountabilities: - Identify potential equipment degradation mechanisms; - Evaluate the integrity of equipment and piping through monitoring and inspection programs; - Provide input and feedback to maintenance programs to adjust monitoring, mitigation, inspection frequencies or provide technical recommendations; and - Assist in meeting all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications for the Position: - A Mechanical Engineering degree and registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Professional Engineer in Alberta; OR a Senior Engineering Technologist with significant API, ASME and CSA credentials and experience; - 10+ years of solid technical experience in reliability, equipment & piping integrity, materials & welding and/or quality assurance; - A mixture of âhands-onâ projects and operations experience is required; - Previous experience working with and organizing various disciplines and departments on a large project considered an asset; - Strong computer skills are required; and - Experience with Asset Integrity software, such as Visions, plus scheduling software, such as Primavera, would be preferred.

This position is based on our Horizon Site located 70km north of the town of Fort McMurray.
