Scope:
Being the central person who understands our IS Roadmap and understands the needs of the various business units on Horizon, this role will have direct impact and influence on successful outcomes. This position transcends all areas of business for Horizon.

For Horizon Managers & Leaders:

For the Horizon IS Team:
- Support existing and future business process to support implementation of the Information Systems - Collaborate with the IS Team members (Project Managers, Developers & 3rd party vendors) - Articulate & translate business needs to the IS Delivery Teams - Balance demands of the business with resources & capabilities of the IS Team - Communicate the connection of how each business group contributes value for shareholders - Celebrate success
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
- Identify business process changes & business requirements - Ensure process consistency and work flow between business areas - Understand the connection between technology requirements for new systems and how it relates to the business processes proposed
Qualifications for the Position
Education and Experience:
- A university degree in Business or related discipline or business diploma coupled with experience in modeling business processes. - A total of 10 (or more) years experience Business Process analysis where at least 5 of those years are involved in Information Systems. - Expertise in business process modeling tools such as Solution Modeler, ProVision, Aris, etc. - Complete understanding of data model - Familiar with SQL or similar data manipulation tool packages Personal Qualities:
- A natural talent to break down what is complex to most and make it simple - An evangelist on the virtues of Business Process Analysts & the value this role brings to any organization - Committed to doing the right thing - No fear of change - Passionate about information and how it is used to improve how business is done
This position is based in Calgary and will require some travel to the Horizon site, which is located north of the city of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
