Grande Cache Coal Corporation (GCCC) is an exciting, long-term mining operation that produces premium, low volatile, metallurgical coking coal for export to the world steel industry. The mine site is 20 kilometres north of the Town of Grande Cache (www.grandecache.ca), a community of nearly 4000 located on the edge of the Rocky Mountains in west-central Alberta just 2 hours from Jasper National Park. The Grande Cache area is a paradise for those wishing to experience the outdoors and a relaxed lifestyle.
GCCC is seeking experienced, motivated and safety-committed workers for permanent, full-time positions at the mine site. GCCC offers a competitive compensation and benefit package including relocation assistance.
Underground Survey Technician
Reporting to the Underground Mine Superintendent you will be responsible to safely and accurately conduct underground mine, stock pile, benchmark and surface surveys. You will prepare daily survey plans and ensure proper documentation and record keeping. You will also be required to coordinate activities with underground operations and maintenance personnel. The position works a 5 x 2, 8 hour day shift rotation.
To be considered for this challenging position you must have a surveying technology diploma and be familiar with ACAD, SurvCadd and the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Previous underground surveying experience is an asset.
