Scope:
Involved daily with the Area Managers & working closely with the Service Desk staff when issues regarding technology have been logged, this role will take on the challenge of solving day to day as well as the overall needs of the Area.
Key Area of Contribution:
Support Analysts within CNRL are more than just desktops & printers. Utilize experience and education to address matters on:
- Server Administration - Network Administration - Desktop Management - Print Management - Radio Communications
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
- Perform project work to evaluate and/or implement software & hardware installations - Maintain CNRL standards across all field offices - Participate in software update distributions - major rollout to satellite locations - Physical deployment of workstations & on going hardware support - Ensure all documentation is kept up to date & reported promptly - Respond to 3rd level Service Desk escalations on trouble calls - Emergency after hours support
Qualifications for the Position
Education and Experience:
- A university degree OR technical school diploma - Strength technically in WindowsXP, MS Office XP, Citrix & basic network trouble shooting - 3 to 5 years of diverse & well rounded IT Support experience. - PC & printer expert - Experience supporting field operations -Certifications in the following would be great assets: -MCSE -CNE -CNA -ITIL

This position is based in Grande Prairie, AB and will require frequent travel to CNRL satellite operations & travel monthly to our Head Office in Calgary.
