Albian Sands is a part of the Athabasca Oil Sands Project (AOSP). The AOSP is a joint venture among Shell Canada Limited (60 %), Chevron Canada Limited (20%) and Marathon Oil Sands L.P (20%). The AOSP consists of the Muskeg River Mine north of Fort McMurray, the Scotford Upgrader near Edmonton and all supporting facilities such as pipelines and a cogeneration plant. As majority owner, Shell is the overall project administrator as well as operator of the Scotford Upgrader. Albian Sands Energy Inc., a company created by the joint venture, operates the Muskeg River Mine. As majority owner, Shell is responsible for the staffing and recruitment of Albian Sands. Albian Sands is currently seeking a Team Lead Mechanical Hydraulic Shovels for the Jack Pine Mine.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Shift Team leader, this challenging position is required for the supervision of JPM Mine Maintenance teams on a rotational days/nights shift basis. Principal area of responsibilities will be the hydraulic shovel/excavator fleet. Provide direction to JPM and contractor workforce for the efficient, reliable and safe maintenance of equipment at the Jackpine Mine. Proper maintenance record keeping, systems compliance and execution of the maintenance plan is a requirement Indirectly influence budgets Accountable to the delivery of the JPM Maintenance Plan Accountable to the consistent prioritization of field repairs and issues in conjunction with the shift team lead. Provides front line leadership to team members to ensure the overall objectives of the department are met. Ensuring exceptional safety standards
Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer Minimum 7 years experience Previous experience working on large mining equipment such as; hydraulic shovels, excavators, haul trucks, dozers, graders and loaders considered an asset. Knowledge of maintenance systems and protocols
