EBA has an immediate opening for a Senior Wildlife/Fisheries Biologist/Terrestrial Ecologist in our Calgary and Lethbridge, AB offices. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct and manage wildlife/fisheries and terrestrial ecology projects primarily for the mining and oil and gas industry.
Responsibilities to include:
Manage the wildlife/fisheries and/or terrestrial ecology aspects of complex projects
Develop and implement work plans, budgets and field programs
Manage, interpret and analyze data
Prepare clear and concise reports
Deliver effective presentations
Supervise and mentor junior staff
Develop and expand client base
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, zoology or equivalent with 10 or more years of experience; an advanced degree is considered to be an asset for this position.
A clean driver's abstract is required. Previous experience in the environmental consulting industry and knowledge of current related industry codes of practice and regulations (both provincial and federal) will be an asset. Experience and ability to effectively interact with mining and petroleum clients highly desired.
