EBA Engineering Consultants Ltd. has an immediate opening for a full time Senior Environmental Engineer or Scientist. This is an opportunity for someone to work with one of the best consulting companies in Western Canada, in a mid-sized and growing office, located on beautiful Vancouver Island. Opportunities for professional development are considerable due to the number of senior staff based in Nanaimo, as well as those in Vancouver and our other BC offices.
Candidates must be willing and able to manage projects on Vancouver Island and throughout British Columbia, as required. The successful candidate will work on a variety of environmental projects primarily related to contaminated site assessments and remediation. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project management including; proposal preparation, managing and mentoring junior and intermediate staff, project scope and budget tracking, and client liaison.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a keen interest and ability to work as an environmental consultant, and have a minimum of eight years of related experience, preferably in the consulting industry. As well, the candidate must be a graduate from a recognized engineering, geology, environmental science or related program, and be eligible for membership with their respective professional association (APEGBC, APBBC, etc). Working knowledge of the BC Contaminated Sites Regulations and excellent writing skills are a must.
