EBA Engineering Consultants Ltd. has an immediate opening for a Junior Environmentatl Technician. This is an opportunity for someone to work with one of the best, technically diverse consulting companies in Western Canada. The position is in a downtown Vancouver office easily accessible by transit. The opportunities for varied and technically challenging projects are numerous due to the diverse groups of engineering staff in Vancouver and our other offices.
Candidates will be required to commit to at least 2 years of field support to various environmental projects primarily in Greater Vancouver and throughout Western Canada, as required. Experience working with contractors is mandatory. The successful candidate will work on a variety of environmental projects related to environmental health and safety, hazardous materials assessment and contaminated site assessments and remediation.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a keen interest and ability to work as a technical environmental consultant, and preferably have related experience in the consulting industry. As well, the candidate must be a graduate from a recognized technical program, and be eligible for professional membership with ASTTBC. Experience and/or training in any combination of indoor air quality assessments, asbestos removal monitoring, vapour, groundwater and soil sampling, and hydrogeology required. Working knowledge of the BC Contaminated Sites and WorkSafe BC Regulations would be beneficial.
