EBA has an immediate opening for a full-time Junior Civil Engineering Technician to be part of the Materials and Geotechnical group in the Nanaimo, BC office. This position will involve working in the field, laboratory and office performing sampling, testing and evaluations of soils, soil compaction, asphalt, concrete and aggregates.
This is an opportunity to be part of a premier consulting company, working in a well established and growing office located on beautiful Vancouver Island.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of related experience, a civil technology diploma, a valid drivers license, and experience in dealing with contractors as well as being physically capable of carrying out the required work.
Candidates should have the basic knowledge related to the quality testing and evaluation of concrete, asphalt, aggregates and soils. Good time management skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and a team player attitude are essential. Membership in ASET or ASTT is considered an asset.
