A JDE EnterpriseOne (E1) Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing and designing application components and physical data structures based on business requirements and logical data models. This includes the design of application logic, user interfaces, data interfaces, data conversion scripts and reports. An E1 Systems Analyst typically works under the guidance and direction of an E1 Application Analyst, and in turn, provides guidance and direction to E1 Developers. A Lead E1 Systems Analyst would also provide guidance and direction to other E1 Systems Analysts.
Reporting to the Manager Corporate Applications, the specific responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: •Analyze and design application components to automate and streamline business processes and functions; •Analyze and design data conversion scripts to load data from external sources, and correct data quality or integrity problems; •Develop estimates of effort for design of new, and/or modification to existing, application components; •Develop and maintain technical design specifications and documentation; •Troubleshoot and fix problems that occur in the everyday use of an application; •Develop cost estimates for the annual IS capital and operational budgets; •Plan, assign and monitor daily work assignments for E1 Developers; and •Developing and Executing integration test plans and test scenarios for application logic, user interfaces, data interfaces and reports.
Specific qualifications of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: •Highly developed analytical skills; •Excellent interpersonal and team skills; •Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities; •Demonstrated proficiency in JDE EnterpriseOne application analysis, design and development . From 4 to 8 years experience as a Programmer Analyst, with a minimum of 3 years experience in JDE EnterpriseOne development. Experience in Finance, Procurement, Maintenance and Inventory would be an asset; •General proficiency with SQL and database query tools such as Microsoft Access and/or Toad; •From 1 to 3 years experience as a Systems Analyst, preferably in the upstream oil and gas industry; •From 1 to 3 years experience supporting applications in the business area assigned; and •A post secondary degree in Computer Science or a related field of study.
