Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties include the following, but are not limited to:
- Provide project execution of multiple concurrent projects - accurate cost control (strong awareness of the change order process), maintain construction schedule, secure competent contractors, make commercial arrangements and oversee construction via multiple Facilities Construction Supervisors;
- Act as a liaison between the engineering company, construction supervisors and Penn West to ensure that all designs are "fit for purpose";
- Ensure the commercial processes used in projects such as bids, tenders, contracts, negotiations, purchasing, etc. provide maximum value to Penn West;
- Actively participate and promote Penn West safety policies on all construction projects;
- Provide technical support for our Operations and Development Teams as required.
Required Experience & Skill Set:
- 5 - 8 years experience in project management/process engineering;
- Experience in single well batteries, multi-well programs, oil treating facilities, gas compression, waterflood programs and gas conservation;
- Pipeline and Facility design experience;
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects - effective communication across multi-stakeholder groups, accurate cost estimates, appropriate fit for need design, develop project schedule on critical, high profile projects, engineering consultant management;
- Ideal candidate would have experience in CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery
