Talisman Energy Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operator to join our Turner Valley Operations Team. The successful candidate will monitor and maintain production facilities and optimize the production of sour oil and gas wells in the Turner Valley, Alberta area within a team environment.
Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently in accordance with Talisman guidelines and all provincial and federal codes, standards, and regulations
Reporting Safety incidents, near misses and loss production incidents
Maintain personal and facility daily event logs
Ensure all equipment is maintained in safe and acceptable condition
Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform minor repairs and servicing
Planning maintenance activities as required by using the TV area Work Order system
Identify and contribute ideas to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime
Maintain production records using PVR software (Production Volume Reporting)
Contribute in a team atmosphere and take on a variety of operating challenges
Maintain good relations with area residents and stakeholders
Qualifications:
As the preferred candidate you have experience in the safe and efficient operation of compressors, sour oil batteries and sour oil/gas wells. Candidates with related experience from other industries will also be considered. You possess mechanical aptitude, excellent communications skills and strong computer skills. Preference will be given to candidates working towards completing the Gas Process Operations (GPO) or Production Field Operations (PFO) Certificates.
