Talisman's Supply Management team is seeking a Supply Management professional to be based in our Shaunavon, Saskatchewan location. This role will partner with the area operational groups (Engineering, Production etc.) to support the location's overall business objectives by providing Supply Chain Management services. This role will report to the area Team Lead.
Ensure that quality, fit-for-purpose services and materials are efficiently and effectively obtained for the area operations at the right place and right time using modern supply chain techniques
Build and maintain excellent working relationships with clients and suppliers and ensure Supply Management processes and philosophies are understood and meet operational needs
Coordinate and/or lead supplier negotiations, vendor management and contract strategies
Ensure governance issues are accounted for, ensure adherence to Talisman policy on business ethics, and that Talisman business risk in minimized
Work with and maintain communication with the entire Supply Management team (Contracts, Logistics, Materials, Operations, Drilling & Construction) to ensure corporate requirements are addressed
Qualifications:
The success of this role relies on an individual who believes in partnering with the business to achieve results. A strong understanding of oil and gas operations through a Supply Management, Engineering or other related role is desired.
Additional qualifications may include
A degree/diploma in Supply Management or a technical degree/diploma in a Petroleum Industry related program (such as Engineering, Technologist)
Excellent customer service, relationship building, and interpersonal skills a must
Oil field procurement and/or operations experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing skills and negotiation skills will be key
