As one of Canada’s premier oil sands producers, EnCana has become a key stakeholder in Canada’s crude oil community with a position of influence in determining the pace size and destination for infrastructure development serving the crude oil producing community.
The Integrated Oil Division has an exciting opportunity within their Upstream Operations. As a key member of the Contracting and Procurement Team, the successful candidate will use their business knowledge to identify and execute strategic opportunities for their Division, actively manage vendor relationships and performance, and provide Procurement support and expertise for the Division. The Procurement Analyst is required to work closely and collaboratively with both internal and external clients to provide effective procurement supervision which will result in best value for EnCana.
The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years increasingly responsible experience in procurement, possess strong organizational and communication skill, be capable of working collaboratively with diverse divisional functions and personalities under limited supervision.
EnCana’s Board of Directors recently approved a proposal to split EnCana into two highly focused energy companies: one a natural gas company with an outstanding portfolio of early life, North American, natural gas resource plays (currently with a working name of “GasCo”) and the other a fully integrated oil company with industry-leading in-situ oilsands properties and top-performing refineries, as well as an underlying foundation of reliable oil and gas resource plays (currently with a working name of “IOCo”). In the event this proposed corporate reorganization proceeds, it is anticipated that the position below will continue in IOCo.
