Reporting to the Foreman, the Journeyman Carpenter will be responsible for effectively delivering the civil portion of the project on time and to the specified quality of the client.
Key Responsibilities:
*Reading blueprints;
*Undertaking the layout (selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or ommisions);
*Prepare, erect and remove structural formwork for concrete foundations, walls, columns, beams and shafts;
*Cutting and shaping materials and joining them with nails, screws, bolts or glue;
*Checking completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location;
*General carpentry such as framing, hoarding, doors and frames and other activities as assigned;
*Mentoring appretices and labourers
Educational Requirements:Certified Journeyman Trade Ticket (must be Red Seal if outside the province of Alberta)
Credentials/ Safety Requirements:All of our job sites require a minimum of CSTS training.
Experience:Industrial construction experience is an asset

*The ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time;
*Manual dexterity;
*Good sense of balance when working on scaffolds;
*The ability to solve math problems quickly and accurately;
*The ability to get along well with others on a work team;
*Must be willing to work in remote job locations;
*Must be able to pass a pre-access drug test;
*Must have a strong understanding of safety procedures and policies on an industrial job site;
