We offer services for oil and gas; hydro, wind, thermal and nuclear generating stations; as well as electricity transmission and distribution facilities.
We are currently looking for Electrical Engineers of all levels to work in our Niagara Falls, Oakville, St. John's, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Calgary offices. The successful candidates will have the following skills and experiences:
Job Summary
Carries out analyses and electrical designs associated with hydroelectric and windpower projects, including selection and specification of generation equipment, detailed design and specification of balance-of-plant services, and services associated with spillway and intake gates. Directs drafters/ technologists in production of electrical drawings, single line diagrams, etc. Prepares Specifications. Participates in inspection and commissioning of power projects.
Work includes all stages of projects, from feasibility to final design, construction and commissioning, and includes new projects and rehabilitation and upgrade of existing facilities.
Works within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technologists to execute projects within budget and on schedule.
Qualifications:
"University graduate with degree in electrical engineering, majoring in power.
"Good verbal communication capability and writing skills in English language.
"Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets.
"10 to 15 years experience as follows:
oConceptual and Feasibility Studies of hydroelectric projects.
oDesigns defining and specifying hydroelectric generation equipment and/or wind turbine equipment.
oDetailed design of balance-of- plant services.
oInspection and condition assessment of hydroelectric facilities.
oRehabilitation and upgrade projects including generator rewind.
oInspection at fabrication plant and supervision of commissioning of generators and related equipment.
"Eligibility for Professional registration in the appropriate provincial professional association.
