The General Superintendent is responsible to provide proactive leadership in:
* Ensure safety compliance through line management
* Timely scheduling, coordination and effective cost control as they pertain to labour, equipment and materials on the project
* Liasing with the client, union and labour relations in accordance with established Agreement Pre-Jobs.
* Construction procedures- safe work, job safety analysis
* Directing sub-contractor coordination and progress
* Assisting in the development of the project plan and schedule
* Executing the project plan and schedule
* Mentoring, coaching and supervising the field supervision.
* Ensuring field labour and constructing equipment costs fall within budget.
* Ensuring compliance with the quality control plan
* Selecting and maintenance of equipment
* Setting up field level supervisory lines of communication
* Ensuring compliance with Human Resource procedures on hiring direct labour.

Credentials/ Safety Requirements:
Experience:Experience in specific multi-disciplined field construction supervisory required; · Proven track record with a high emphasis on Safety; · Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral; · Proven organizational skills in order to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work environment; · Experience working in an isolated environment is a definite asset;
