Reporting to the Supervisor, North American Operations Accounts Payables, and the successful candidate will lead a group responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely booking of charges relating to North American Operations field, drilling, completions and facilities construction activities.
Qualifications:
Supervise the work of direct reports located in various diverse field locations. Direct the activities of this group and be accountable for its performance, including coaching, training, and overall management of assigned staff
Completion, review and approval of accounting entries
Completion of internal control reviews and SOX testing
Develop and enhance working relationships with Supply Management, Drilling & Completions Operations and field office personnel that will assist in the identification, evaluation and implementation of procedural and technological opportunities aimed to enhance efficiency
Interact with vendor representatives and demonstrate strong customer and client service on an individual basis and on behalf of the group
Assessment of workload balancing requirements and identification of streamlining opportunities
Completion of various special projects and assignments as required

A post-secondary education
Enrollment / completion of a professional accounting designation
Minimum of five years of oil and gas experience and/or accounts payable experience
Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of envision and AP Workflow applications
