Albian Sands is a part of the Athabasca Oil Sands Project (AOSP). The AOSP is a joint venture among Shell Canada Limited (60 %), Chevron Canada Limited (20%) and Marathon Oil Sands L.P (20%). The AOSP consists of the Muskeg River Mine north of Fort McMurray, the Scotford Upgrader near Edmonton and all supporting facilities such as pipelines and a cogeneration plant. As majority owner, Shell is the overall project administrator as well as operator of the Scotford Upgrader. Albian Sands Energy Inc., a company created by the joint venture, operates the Muskeg River Mine. As majority owner, Shell is responsible for the staffing and recruitment of Albian Sands. Albian Sands is currently seeking an Administrative Resource (Froth/Utilities)
Responsibilities:
Manage and track vacation for the team. Organize logistics for external and internal tours. Assist in recruitment administration. Coordinate submission for operations deadlines Complete meeting minutes and updating the action log. Assist in the organization of Technical documentation Maintaining Calendar, Organizing Meetings, Meeting Minutes, Travel Arrangements, Expense Reports Maintaining Organization Charts, Employee Directory and Distribution Lists Liaison with Human Resources as directed Letters, Reports and Presentations as required New Hires – ensuring smooth transition for new hires by gaining various access needed, team introductions and maintenance facilities tours. Involved with various ASE events and communicate to team Communicate to team regarding Work Practices & Procedure Changes Arranging Team Building Events Ensuring contact information and distribution lists are current Office Equipment – Ordering, Tracking, First Contact for Help for Hardware, Software, Telephones, Printers, Etc.
Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer No “fly in, fly out” option is offered with this position. Relocation to Fort McMurray is required. Well-developed organizational skills and ability to expedite workflow, Well developed time management skills and ability to work independently, as well as within a team. Well-developed computer skills using Outlook, MS Word, Excel, livelink and PowerPoint applications, including ability to create, edit and transfer documents and manage an electronic file system. Practical knowledge of effective administrative systems and processes, Good writing and editing skills, ability to support confidentiality policy and processes, Outgoing personality / problem solving / resolution skills.
