Ledcor's Civil Mining Division is seeking a Business Development Specialist for it's Phoenix, AZ location. The core duties will be: business development and market analysis to expand core area of operations, support pre-construction efforts by leading/developing/preparing complex proposals and pre-qualification packets on Federal/State/Local levels. The candidate will also, maintain marketing/business development data, and be the point of contact for marketing communications and business development efforts for multi-business unit efforts.
Responsibilities
Develop & Maintain Opportunities in Ledcor CMI’s targeted market (public and private), conduct Market Analysis to support estimating efforts, co-ordinate Ledcor CMI’s overall proposal preparation including Qualifications, Proposals, and Award Submissions for all levels from Federal thru Local clients, refine and formalize Ledcor CMI’s Proposal Process, lead the writing and development of all proposal submittals, maintain past project databases, physical and electronic proposal archives and provide training as required.Travel will be required, but will be based out of the Phoenix office.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative support tasks. The person must be exceedingly well organized, computer literate, creative, and flexible and enjoy challenges. They must also be able to follow specific direction, work well as a team member, and be resourceful while maintaining efficiency.This fast-paced position requires someone who can multi-task and adapt to constantly changing priorities while maintaining a pleasant, professional demeanour.Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess the following:Extensive knowledge of construction practices with a preference but no requirement on exposure to heavy civil / horizontal construction, excellent and persuasive, technical writing / verbal communication skills, high degree of attention to detail and organization skills, proficiency with all types of software that is required to develop, prepare, print and submit complex proposals, be well organized, persistent, tactful and enthusiastic and works well with all types and levels of people, and with limited supervision.You MUST have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, or an allied construction degree and 10 plus years marketing / business development experience within the construction industry (with preference on heavy civil or closely related field).
