SCOPE:
As a key technical member of the Asset Integrity team; the Integrity Management Systems Engineer will be responsible for development and implementation of an Asset Integrity Program to meet Horizon Business Objectives for a safe reliable and cost effective Oil Sands operation
KEY AREA OF CONTRIBUTION:
• Increase production and availability through reliability improvement • Reduce OPEX (Operational Expenses) and unplanned shutdowns • Ensure regulatory requirements are met and support the ABSA (Alberta Boiler Safety Association) Owner User Program • Optimize manpower and turnaround frequencies
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Develop and manage Asset Integrity Database (Visions) and Asset Integrity Management System while defining new equipment requirements and maintaining integrity related company standards and governing documents • Manage all data acquisition, access and train required users on the database • Develop an ABSA (regulatory approved) Risk Based Inspection Program (RBI) • Planning and reporting including Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) • Prepare and maintain Vision User manuals • Provide timely retrieval of data base information • Contribute to achieving plant reliability targets
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide input into plant and equipment shutdown/turnaround work scopes and planning • Assist Asset Integrity team with defining and preparing circuit degradation manuals, corrosion monitoring programs, and degradation analysis • Develop procedures and policies to prevent, monitor and repair degradation activities • Actively participate in the Risk Based Inspection process
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION: Education & Experience:
• Engineering Degree in a related discipline (Mechanical, Materials, Process or Chemical) • Or a technologist diploma with extensive experience in a reliability/assert integrity role • 10 + years experience in Oil Sands or Petrochemical refinery • Proficient in database management, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Word documents. • Excellent technically writing abilities combined with experience creating professional reports, manuals and documents

HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT: • Comply with all Health and Safety Requirements established by Canadian Natural Resources Limited • Know and comply with all regulations and legislative requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act for the Province of Alberta and environmental standards • Follow safe work procedures and ensure all personnel comply; • Report any injury or illness immediately; • Report unsafe acts and conditions; • Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available and is worn where and when required.
