Shell is currently seeking a Froth Field Operator* to work at the Fort McMurray Albian Sands mining project.

Responsibilities:

• This position reports to the shift team leader and is a member of the operating team in the Froth Treatment area. The Field Operator will interface with the Control Room Operator and area maintenance on a daily basis to ensure the safety, reliability and production targets are met. This is a 12-hour rotating shift position (4/5/5 shift schedule)
• The Froth Field Operator will work in a live hydrocarbon plant and must understand the dangers associated with such an environment
• The Field Operator will work as a member of the Froth operations team and will require well developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a flexible team environment

Requirements:

• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full time basis for anyone other than current employer

• No "fly in, fly out" option is offered with this position. Relocation to Fort McMurray is required

• 4^th Class Steam Ticket

• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal

• Minimum 5 years hydrocarbon experience

• Knowledge and experience in hydrocarbon facilities

• Strong operations foundation including a sound technical knowledge of piping, pumping, compression, instrumentation and electrical systems

• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a flexible team environment
