The Ledcor Foundations Limited Partnership (LFLP) is looking for an Operations Manager for its Edmonton and site offices. As the Operations manager you will be responsible for the cost-effective management of all the day to day Foundations operations. The Operations Manager ensures appropriate safety initiatives are implemented and leads client relationship development initiatives within Foundations.
The Operations Manager develops the Foundations Group business unit budget and participates in long term equipment capital planning, assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to facilitate LFLP corporate objectives and directly manages the Project Managers and Construction manager and will ensure adherance to the specified contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that the LFLP group in Canada meets the defined targets in terms of deadlines and budgets by reviewing work requirements, schedules, and cost reports on a regular basis.
- Manages the equipment in Canada to ensure it is preventatively maintained, repaired and protected.
- Manages equipment availability and develops client relationships and new business opportunities to ensure maximum equipment utilization.
- Assists in the development of, and ensures adherence to, safety policies and procedures.
- Pursues and develops new business opportunities for the Foundations group in Canada. This includes participating in the estimating process.
- Develops and monitors the operating budget and makes recommendations on long term equipment capital planning for all of the Foundations Group.
- Develops and implements policy and procedures at the branch level in accordance with corporate objectives.
- Leads and manages employees ensuring ongoing communication, performance management, and development.
- Mentors and manages Project Managers assigned to projects to ensure projects are executed within planned expectations.
Requirements
- 10 years or more in deep foundations/piling industry in a leadership or direct management role as an Operations Manager or equivalent required.
- Civil Engineer, Civil Technologist or equivalent.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record within the industry
Work Conditions
- Extensive travel required to sites
