Shell is currently seeking a Reservoir Engineer to work at its Calgary office on the Peace River Venture.

Responsibilities:
  • Dynamic modeling of vertical and horizontal well developments
  • Optimization of steam strategy
  • Determination of application of vertical or horizontal well development areas
  • Integrating with surveillance, drilling, geology, seismic and petrophysics disciplines
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Solid reservoir engineering technical skill set
  • Dynamic modeling with STARS (special purpose CMG simulator)
  • Heavy oil (thermal) development experience
  • Strong team skills
  • Ability to deliver to tight timelines
  • Understanding of existing producing pads in the PR thermal area
  • Ability to work in an integrated team, dealing with large historical data sets and thinking beyond discipline to optimize development concepts
