Ledcor is seeking an experienced Estimator for its Edmonton location.

Responsibilities

• Receive and print correspondence from clients consisting of drawings and specification
• Provide take-off of quantities from owner supplied drawings, both electronically supplied and hard copy with a focus on earthworks takeoff and production
• Develop and optimize haul profiles and haul lengths for selected projects, develop and maintain FPC to establish haul times on selected projects.
• Assist projects with claims, quantity reconciliation, and general engineering functions
• General knowledge of HCSS for estimating
• Provide general estimating and project support
• Provide scheduling for estimates and projects
• Perform complete estimates on selected projects consisting of project site visit, quantity take-off, pricing, and presentation of the estimate for management review
• Contact subcontractors and suppliers for pricing within estimates.

Requirements

• As the ideal candidate, you have a minimum of 5 years Civil/Concrete structures estimating experience
• Piping utility estimating experience considered an asset
• Education in civil engineering or technology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong understanding of modern construction practices
• Excellent computer skills including proficiency of the following programs:
  AutoCad, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Agtek, HCSS, FPC, and Primavera (or similar)
