We are currently seeking a Senior Estimator to support Commercial Construction work in the California area. The incumbent will prepare and/or coordinates full estimates on (public and private) medium to large complex work and provide complete conceptual and final estimating, or complete total bid pricing.
Responsibilities
- Set up the Estimate and report progress and resources to the Chief Estimator/Preconstruction Manager
- Create a file for each estimate and file estimate documentation
- Reviews estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Compile a list of relevant and capable trades for budgeting or tendering
- Prepare trade tender documentation
- Oversee the issuance of tender packages to the trades
- Contact trades regarding invitations, addendum, tender closings and follow up
- Oversee and participate in the production of quantity take-offs for all areas of the estimate
- Ensure the take-off is well notated for hand-over to the project team
- Attend tender review or preconstruction design meetings as required
- Monitor drawing revisions and inform client of any cost implications
- Attend major trade pre-award meetings
- Ensure estimates include safety and security requirements required by Ledcor policies and applicable legislation
Requirements
