The Equipment/Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for light vehicle and rental unit management as well as the purchasing of tools, parts, supplies or services. Tracking of physical location and cost of the units as well as coordination with site personnel will also be required. The Equipment Coordinator will help to ensure timely completion of month end financial entries.
Responsibilities
Equipment:Directs applicable rental invoices to site personnel for approvalCoordinates with the Ledcor Equipment Group as well as site personnel to ensure rental moves and returns processes have been followed and the information is updated in JD EdwardsLiaises with site maintenance personnel to update month end meter hour reporting and calculation of rental over hour liabilitiesEnsures all light vehicle information (assignments, location etc) is tracked and maintainedDirects job cost invoices to the applicable Project Manager for approvalPerforms cost analysis for the Equipment groupCompletes Journal Entries in JD Edwards as requiredTracks equipment cost accrualsProcurement:Buys tools, parts, supplies, or services necessary for the operation of a project.Prepares purchase orders and solicit bid proposals for goods and services. Evaluates suppliers based on price, quality, availability, service, support, and the supplier's reputation and history. Analyzes information to purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price.Negotiates and administers contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives. Tracks shipments and address shipping problems. Maintains records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventories. Other related duties as required
Requirements
Post secondary education is preferred.2-5 years in an equipment, purchasing or equivalent role.Technical knowledge of heavy civil/mining industry and construction equipment.Certificate in purchasing from the Purchasing Management Association of Canada is an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written.Attention to detail.Excellent negotiating and problem solving skills.Excellent organization, planning and prioritization skills.Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook JD Edwards familiarity considered an asset
