Function/Purpose:
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing day to day administrative coordination of office services for the Legislative and Administrative Services department. The successful candidate will be responsible for records management, project tracking, calendar organization, current event tracking, report preparation, document editing, and research. This position coordinates and/or carries out administrative requirements for the LAS Manager to ensure the office operates with maximum efficiency and effectiveness and coordinates the preparation, monitoring and financial tracking and reporting of the LAS budget.
Job Requirements:
- One year certificate from a recognized college in Office Administration, Business Administration, or related. Must have taken courses in office management, computer applications (Microsoft Office suite), and business writing.
- Three years of progressively responsible administrative assistant or office management experience that includes financial management responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher), Internet and financial software.
